Thomas Oppel is the Democratic candidate to represent Canaan, Dorchester & Orange in NH House Grafton District 9.

Oppel has nearly four decades of experience in public service at the local, state and national levels, including serving as chief of staff to Navy Secretary Ray Mabus during President Obama’s Administration. 

The founder and CEO of his own small consulting business, O2 Strategies, Oppel has served on the Canaan Planning Board since 2021 and chairs the Canaan Economic Development Committee.
